5 Tips to Stay Focused and Energised During Ramadan

Chances are high for you to feel tired the whole day because you are fasting. But, there are ways to stay focused and energised while going through your usual daily activities.

An important part of maintaining your energy levels during this month involves food. Consuming the right kind of food during sahur (pre-dawn meal) and breaking of fast plays an important role in ensuring high energy levels during this period.

Here are other nifty tips we think will help you:

Consuming protein for sahur can help reduce hunger when fasting. If you don’t have the time to prepare protein-based dishes like chicken or beef, you can opt to have protein drinks such as the Nutrilite Soy Protein Drink which is easier to make instead. Just mix the protein powder in warm or cold water, shake and drink. Easy, isn’t it?

Vitamin B helps to break down fat and carbohydrate to give you the energy you need to go about your daily activities, more so during the fasting month. Besides that, it can also help you to reduce or maintain weight. So, if you’ve indulged a little too much in mum’s rendang, let’s just remember to pop a B vitamin supplement for added energy because there are more houses to visit!

    Stay Hydrated

DRINK UP. We can’t stress this any further because good hydration is always important. Avoid sugary and caffeinated drinks during sahur as it could make you thirsty faster and may end up making you tired by mid-day. Start and end your fast with a tall glass of water and don’t forget to drink at least eight glasses of water between breaking fast and sahur.

These tips are not just for adults. Children and teenagers may also follow these recommendations to make sure that they too stay focused and energised throughout the Ramadan month. Check your eating pattern during sahur and breaking of fast to ensure that the body is focused and energised the whole day.
