Chawan Mushi

Ingredients:

  • 80g boneless chicken meat, chopped
  • 2 crabsticks, sliced
  • 2 button mushrooms, sliced
  • 6 gingko nuts
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 3 eggs
  • 300ml water
  • 1 tsp chicken stock

Method:

  1. Combine the chicken meat, crabsticks, button mushrooms, ginkgo nuts, sugar, salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Beat the eggs with a fork until well combined. Add the water and chicken stock. Stir evenly.
  3. Strain the egg mixture with a sieve.
  4. Fill four small bowls with the seasoned ingredients from Step 1.
  5. Pour in the egg mixture.
  6. Fill the stainless steel inner pot of the Noxxa Low Sugar Rice Cooker with about an inch of water. Arrange the bowls in the ceramic strainer and close the lid.
  7. Choose the Steam setting and set the timer for 25 minutes. Press Start.
  8. Ready to serve! Sprinkle your favourite garnish on top if desired.
