Ensure Clean And Mineralised Drinking Water By Replacing Your eSpring Parts Regularly

How_to_Maintain_Your_eSpring_–_Cleaning_&_Status_Indication_750.jpg

Many people think that a water filter can only last so long before it loses its effectiveness and needs replacing. The truth is, when well cared for, a water filter can last for many years. All it takes is regular replacement of parts that are naturally prone to wear and tear over time.

In order to extend the lifespan of your eSpring Water Treatment System and ensure years of clean drinking water for everyone at home, it is important to learn the different parts of your unit and what they are for. Knowing how these parts work will also help you understand why you should replace them periodically as recommended. Let’s take a look:

eSpring_Cartridge.jpg

Cartridge

Cleans the equivalent of 10,000 bottles of water (average filter life depends on usage and water quality) with its coconut shell-based activated carbon filter and advanced ultraviolet (UV) lamp.

Recommended to replace: Every 5,000 litres of water or 1 year, whichever comes first

eSpring_Tubing.jpg

Tubing

Connects the eSpring system with the existing faucet. Causes of cracked tubing include high exposure to sunlight and heat as well as the use of harsh detergents and insect spray on and around the tubing.

Recommended to replace: Every two years

eSpring_Elbow.jpg

Elbow

An L-shaped connectors and tubing for the eSpring Water Treatment System. The Elbows come in a pair for added convenience.

Recommended to replace: Every two years

eSpring_Diverter.jpg

Diverter

A valve that controls the flow of water according to the position of its handle, making it easy for you to choose what is best for you.

Recommended to replace: Every two years

eSpring_Filter_Bracket.jpg

Filter Bracket

Facilitates the flow of water through the eSpring Water Treatment System. Change regularly to ensure that the eSpring Tubing fits snugly as this will prevent any leaks.

Recommended to replace: Every three to five years

Retaining Ring

Retains and secures the Cartridge and Filter Bracket in place. Ensures a tight seal of the Filter Bracket into the base of the eSpring Water Treatment System.

Recommended to replace: Every three to five years

Besides replacing parts, sometimes a little cleaning is all it takes to keep your unit running at optimum performance. Take, for instance, the Filter Bracket. In order to make sure the eSpring smart chip functions properly, it is recommended to clean the UV window of the Filter Bracket whenever you change the Cartridge.

Don’t worry, it’s easy – all you need is a soft toothbrush, a clean cloth and running water:

  1. Remove the Cartridge from the eSpring base and unscrew the Filter Bracket.
  2. Gently brush the Filter Bracket and the UV window inside under running water.
  3. Use a cloth to carefully wipe the UV window for a more thorough clean.
  4. Reassemble the Filter Bracket with your new Cartridge.
  5. Screw it on tight and replace it into the eSpring base.
