Ingredients

  • 3 cups basmati rice
  • Water
  • 3 onions, finely diced
  • 2 inches ginger, finely diced
  • 2 stalks lemongrass, cut in half
  • 1 tbsp fenugreek
  • ½ tbsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 pandan leaves, tied in a knot

Method

  1. Soak the basmati rice in water for 10 minutes.
  2. Insert the ceramic strainer into the Noxxa Low Sugar Rice Cooker.
  3. Add the soaked rice, onion, ginger, lemongrass, fenugreek, black pepper powder, salt and cooking oil and mix well.
  4. Add the pandan leaves and pour in water until the water level is 3mm above the rice.
  5. Choose the Low Sugar White Rice setting and press Start.
  6. Enjoy the rice on its own or with other flavourful dishes.
