Joining Amway was a turning point that nobody, least of all my parents, had anticipated given my troubled teenage years. I was skipping school and mixing with unsavoury characters. Not surprisingly, they feared a grim destiny for me, that I would end up either as a casualty of street violence or a prison statistic.
It was Amway that brought about a profound change. My sister, Founders Crown Ambassador Linda Ng Kwee Choo, led the way in 1982, facing my initial ridicule with unwavering determination. She met Founders Crown Ambassador Charlie Lee Kim Soon when she joined Amway, and together, they both invited me to an Amway meeting, which marked the start of an incredible transformation in my life.
Reflecting on the past 39 years, I feel very blessed and fortunate. Amway’s values resonated with me early on, leading me from the uncertainty of a family business to a stable and sustainable income. Even amidst the pandemic, our Amway business stood strong, enabling our rise to the level of Double Diamond.
Now, at 62, I relish my robust health, free from the ‘three highs’ — high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high blood sugar — that plague so many. This vitality is merely one of the countless blessings that Amway has granted me.
A heartfelt thanks to my life partner, Meng Huey, who encouraged and persevered with me. We went from having nothing to having everything good in life. Before Amway, we missed out on a lot. Meng Huey didn’t even know how to drive.
Thanks to Amway’s influence, she has learnt to drive, and now we do fun things like hiking and yoga. Every day is enjoyable. When it comes to travel, we’ve been to so many places that it’s easier to say where we haven’t been!
The most beautiful part of this is having our whole family involved. Amway is a shared vision of health and wellbeing, prosperity, and unity that binds us together as a family. Each of us contributed to this collective dream, supporting one another as we build a legacy of togetherness.
Looking ahead, my sights are set on achieving the Triple Diamond pin. With your support, we’re not just dreaming of greater heights, we’re making them a reality, together.
