During the eRally, the audience witnessed marketing and Nutrilite updates from Nutrition Category Manager, Joyce Tan as well as a brief introduction of the Modern Herbal Nutrition product range from Amway China Vice President of Innovation & Science East Hub Chen Jia.
Chen said traditional Chinese medicine dates to thousands of years ago with ingredients and recipes passed down from generations and till today, it remains in Asian culture.
“Euromonitor studies have shown that there is a rising trend for the need of herbal and naturally-sourced products since COVID-19. The market needs for natural products have definitely shown a tremendous growth, quite possibly surpassing regular supplements.”

Post-Chen’s sharing, guest speaker & product development expert Amway China Innovation & Science Center Principal Scientist Dr Eric Du was invited to share his insights on both supplements.
On the eye supplement, Dr Du said the product contained lutein and zeaxanthin (derived from marigold flower), blackcurrant extract, wolfberry and chrysanthemum. As common as these ingredients may seem, he explained it all provided crucial nutritional benefits to prevent eye fatigue.
Stressing the importance of backing up nutritional herbal benefits with scientific research studies, Dr Du said the microencapsulation technology used for the eye supplement helps the human body absorb the nutrients better.
Meanwhile, as an emerging number of people continue to practise unhealthy eating and lifestyle habits – our stomach will continue to suffer too. To tackle this, Dr Du said the Botanical Beverage Apple, Jujube and Wheat Peptide contained ginger and kelp extract (has fucoidan) apart from apple, jujube and wheat peptide that helps protect the stomach against bloating, acid reflux, belching and indigestion problems.
